On Saturday the highest representatives of the United States and Cuba met to negotiate in the midst of the All-American Summit in the Panamanian capital city.

The meeting lasted over an hour and there was also discussion of human rights, during which statesmen disagreed. Also for the time being, the US leaves Cuba on the list of countries supporting terrorism. The country made it to the list in 1982, mainly due to the support of the Basque separatist organization ETA and Colombian rebels from the FARC movement. The US State Department has already recommended that the President remove Cuba from the list.
